Over the course of a year, four teams led by Bernie Krause and Stuart Gage (Michigan State University) recorded in all seasons at four different sites at California's Sequoia National Park to capture each site's biophony. Crescent Meadow, which lies at 6,700 feet, was covered by Jack Hines and Bernie Krause. This late spring recording was made in May 2002 and represents the course of an entire day from dawn until after nightfall.
